Lars Fredrik Nilsson was born April 29, 1820, in Bjőrkekrog, Grebo Parish, Östergőtland Co., Sweden, and died June 24, 1870, in Varna Parish, Östergőtland Co., Sweden, at age 50. He is the son of Nils Larsson of Björkelid, Björsäter, Östergötland Co., Sweden, and Greta Cajsa Persdotter of Grebo, Östergötland Co., Sweden.

Gustafva Wilhelmina Ekman was born March 11, 1825, in Asby Parish, Linkőping District of Östergőtland Co., Sweden, and died November 22, 1896, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Louis Anderson and Amanda Albertina (Larson) Anderson, St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN, at age 71. Buried in Plot: Block 4, Lot 15, Space 1, Union Cemetery, Maplewood, Ramsey Co., MN. She is the daughter of Lars Unknown of Sweden, and Eva Helena Molsson of Sweden.

Lars Fredrik Nilsson and Gustafva Wilhelmina Ekman were married March 24, 1844, in Östergötland Co., Sweden.

Lars Fredrik Nilsson and Gustafva Wilhelmina (Ekman) Nilsson had seven children:

Buried in Salem (Old Swede) Cemetery, Farmington Twp., Waupaca Co., WI. Married May 13, 1874, in Marquette, Marquette Co., MI, to Olaus Larsson: Born April 23, 1851, in Fröbbestorp, Torsas, Kalmar Co., Småland, Sweden; Died November 11, 1920, in Farmington Twp., Waupaca, WI (age 69). Buried in Salem (Old Swede) Cemetery, Farmington Twp., Waupaca Co., WI.
  3. Fredrika Mathilda Gustava Larsdotter: Born September 17, 1851, in Varna Parish, Östergőtland Co., Sweden; Died April 15, 1905, in Ironwood, Gogebic Co., MI (age 53). Buried in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, Gogebic Co., MI. Married July 3, 1880, in Ishpeming, Marquette Co., MI, to Adolph F. Larson: Born October, 1851, in Sweden; Died November 26, 1907, in Rockford, Winnebago Co., IL (age 66). Buried in Riverside Cemetery, Ironwood, Gogebic Co., MI.  
  4. Anders Fredrik Leonhard Larsson: (a. k. a. Frederick Andrew Dahlquist) Born November 30, 1853, in Varna Parish, Östergőtland Co., Sweden; Died December 4, 1915, in St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN (age 62). Buried in Plot: Block 4, Lot 15, Space 2, Union Cemetery, Maplewood, Ramsey Co., MN. Married about 1887 in St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN, to Emma C. Anderson: Born July 23, 1866, in Sweden; Died June 28, 1941, in St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN (age 74 years, 11 months, 5 days). Buried in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove, Cook Co., IL. Married about 1885 in Chicago, Cook Co., IL, to Amanda Rudzinski/Rodgers: Born November 1, 1866, in Marienburg, Hamburg, Germany: Died March 2, 1941, at 1819 N.   6. Amanda Albertina Larsdotter: Born March 31, 1862, in Varna Parish, Östergőtland, Sweden; Died May 23, 1923, in St. Paul, MN (age 61). Married August 24, 1889, in Ishpeming, Marquette Co., MI, to Gustave Adolph Lundgren: Born November, 1863, in Sweden; Died January 31, 1923, at the Mayo Brothers Hospital, Rochester, Olmsted Co., MN (age 59). A family reunion of the Larson and Lewis families was held at the home of Almo Larson in Farmington, Sunday.


According to Freeda (Larson) Lewis, "All were related to either Gustav Larsson Lewis on my father's side of the family, or to Aunt Sophia Larsdotter Lundgren on my mother's side of family. Uncle Gust. was my father's brother. Aunt Sophia was my mother's sister."

Gustafva Wilhelmina (Ekman) Nilsson moved out of Torpa Parish on June 4, 1888, with a destination of North America. Torpa Parish is just north of Asby. Her status was listed as widow of farmer. She was traveling alone, and departed from Grebo, Östergőtland Co., Sweden. Gustafva, from Uppsala, Uppsala Län, Sweden, departed Göteborg, Sweden, on June 15, 1888, with a destination of the Port of New York, NY.

The 1895 Minnesota State Census taken on June 3, 1895, shows Louis Anderson (age 34) born in Sweden with both parents foreign born, and having lived in Minnesota for 8 years and having lived in this district for 2 months, is a Court House Janitor, and is living at 695 De Soto Street, 1st Ward, City of St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN. Living with him are: Mrs. Amanda Anderson (age 33) born in Sweden, with both parents foreign born, who does Housekeeping; Oscar Anderson (age 10) born in Wisconsin, and with both parents foreign born; Nels Froberg (age 30) born in Sweden, and with both parents foreign born, and having lived in Minnesota for 8 years and having lived in this district for 2 months, a Laborer; and Oscar Froberg (age 21) born in Sweden, and with both parents foreign born, and having lived in Minnesota for 8 years and having lived in this district for 2 months, a Laborer.

Gustafva Ekman (Larsdotter) Larson died November 22, 1896, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Louis Anderson, 696 Otsego Street, St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN, at age 71. Gustafva is said to have died at the home of her daughter, Amanda, in St. Paul, MN.
