Waupaca, Wis. - The 83rd birthday of Gust Lewis, Waupaca, was celebrated Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clarence Peterson, Menasha. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. Irving Lewis and children, Kenneth, Clifford and Lorraine, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Lewis and son Lawrence, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lear and children, Waupaca; Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Lewis and children of Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Larson and Mr. and Mrs. Almo Larson and son Wilbur of Farmington. Mr. Lewis, for many years a business man of this city, prides himself on good health considering his age.

Services for Albert Lewis, 82, Waupaca, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Holly Funeral home, Waupaca. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery there. Friends may call at the funeral home until the services. The Rev. Oscar L. Stanke of the Waupaca Methodist Church will officiate at the funeral. Mr. Lewis died at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in Riverside Community Hospital in Waupaca. He was a brother of R. B. Lewis of 505 S. Michigan Ave. He was born in Waupaca Aug. 22, 1876, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Lewis. He married Cora Wagner in Fall City, Wis., June 3, 1903. He was employed some 50 years as a machinist in the A. M. Hansen Machine Shop in Waupaca, retiring when he was 72 years old. Surviving are his widow; two sons, Adolph, Waupaca, and Lawrence, Cedar Grove; five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Edith) Lear, Waupaca, and Mrs. Clarence (Dora) Peterson, Menasha; and five brothers, Edward, New Leipzig, N. D., Elmer, Tacoma, Wash, Irvin, Waupaca, Philip, Neenah, and R. B. Lewis, Stevens Point.
