Mrs. Henry Morgan, 78, of 600 Elm street, Waupaca, died Thursday at Waupaca after a short illness. She was born May 7, 1881, in Denmark and came to this country with her parents at the age of 2. Survivors include her husband; five step-daughters, Mrs. Fred Anderson, Racine, Mrs. Dora Patterson, Wild Rose, Mrs. Adolph Lewis, Waupaca, Mrs. Kenneth Buck, Waupaca, and Mrs. Veda Pugmire, Waupaca; two step-sons, Arthur Neilsen, Fessenden, N. D., and Alfred Neilsen, Sacramento, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Alice Alstrom, Oak Lawn, Ill. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p. m. Sunday at Trinity Lutheran church, Waupaca, with burial in the First Belmont cemetery, Portage county. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral home, Waupaca, until 12:30 p. m. Waupaca - Last rites for Adolph Lawrence Lewis, 60, of 729 Eighth St., Waupaca, were held this afternoon at Holly Funeral Home, Waupaca. The Rev. Walter M. Abramson, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Baldwins Hills, officiating. Mr. Lewis, who has been hospitalized since May 26 of this year, died Saturday morning at Riverside Community Hospital, Waupaca. Born July 18, 1904 at Catauba, Price County, he was a self employed carpenter. He married former Eva Nielsen July 10, 1926 at Waupaca and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church here. Survivors include his widow: two daughters, Mrs. Warren Lund, and Mrs. Franklin Jorgensen, both of Waupaca; his mother, Mrs. Cora Lewis, Waupaca, one brother Lawrence, Cedar Grove, and four grandchildren. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Waupaca.

Waupaca. - Franklin Jorgensen, 46, of 401 Bailey St., died Saturday at 8 p.m. while camping in the Town of Springwater. He was born in the Town of Springwater, June 21, 1929. He was married in Waupaca to Dorothy Lewis, Sept. 12, 1959. Mr. Jorgensen was a Korean War veteran and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was employed as an auto technician by Culligan Motors. Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Mary and Barbara, at home; and three brothers, Arnold, Menomonee Falls, Raymond, Jessup, Ga., and Kermit of Beaver Dam. Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Peter Kirkegaard officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in Saxeville. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home after 4 p.m. today.

Age 58, passed away Thursday at the Veteran Administration Medical Center, Wood, Wisconsin. He was born July 20, 1928 in Waupaca, son of Holgar and Agnes Lund. He was married April 2, 1955 to Rosalene Marie Lewis in Waupaca. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Waupaca, life member of the DAV, Henry Hartsworm Chapter 54, Waupaca and former member of the Waupaca Volunteer Fire Department. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict, the U. S.. Army, and a retired mail carrier in Waupaca. Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Henry Christine) Crabtree, Corvallis, Oregon; two sons, Charles, Iola; Christopher, Corvallis, Oregon; two sisters: Mrs. George (Betty) Hunter, Appleton; Mrs. John (Barbara) Fritz, Waupaca; a brother, Robert Lund, Oshkosh; his mother, Mrs. Agnes Everts, Waupaca. Rosalene M. Lund, age 77, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006 at Bethany Home. Rosie was born in Waupaca, WI on June 25, 1929, the daughter of the late Adolph and Eva (Nielsen) Lewis. She married Warren (Fusser) Lund on April 22, 1955 in Waupaca. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1987. Rosie worked at Riverside Hospital for 10 years and then the Waupaca Co. Sheriff's Dept. for over 10 years before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the Waupaca School Board for over 20 years, serving a number of years as its President. She was also a member of RMC Auxiliary, Trinity Lutheran Church and was very active in bowling leagues. She is survived by her sons: Charles Lund of Waupaca; Christopher Lund of Eureka Springs, Ark; her daughter: Christine Crabtree of Corvallis, Oregon; a granddaughter, Cora Crabtree and a sister, Dorothy (Lane) Streck of Saxeville, WI. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be at 1 PM on Thursday, Nov. 16 at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Reverend Nathan Liedtke, officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 15 from 5 - 7 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Park. Memorials are appreciated to Waupaca High School FFA Club or Riverside Hospital Auxilary.

Vilas Streck, of Neenah, formerly of Appleton, age 90 years, died on Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh. He was born November 5, 1916, in Woodville, Wisconsin, the son of the late Carl and Clara (Fahrbach) Streck. On August 11, 1945, he married the former Clara Kuzenski. Vilas served in the U.S. Army from November 11, 1941, to November 13, 1945. He was a member of Riverview Ev. Lutheran Church, Harvey Pierre VFW Post #2778 and the Appleton DAV. Bud was employed at Riverside Paper Company for 30 years and retired as a supervisor. Clara and Bud enjoyed the years at Round Lake in Waushara County with family and friends. He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Clara Streck, Neenah; son, Lane (Dorothy) Streck, Wild Rose; two step-granddaughters: Nancy (Kevin) Johnson, Waupaca and Barbara (David) Barg, Waupaca; four step-great grandchildren: Mitchell Johnson, Oshkosh; Jordan Johnson, Waupaca; Eric and Jessica Barg, Waupaca; four sisters-in-law: Olga Streck, Appleton; Elaine (John) Cotton, Appleton; Marion Kuzenski, Little Chute and Awanda Kuzenski, Appleton. Bud is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Clara Tank-Streck, brother Earl Streck and sister Bernice Janssen. The funeral service for Bud will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2007, at RIVERVIEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 136 W. Seymour St., Appleton, with Rev. Dennis W. Belter officiating, followed by full military honors. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Mrs. Marie Christine Nielsen, was born Dec. 22, 1870, in Kongssted, Selland, Denmark, and died at her home on Eight Street, this city, on Saturday morning, Feb. 28, 1931, at the age of 60 years, two months and six days. Death was following a lingering illness of a years duration. She came to the United States in 1888, and in 1890, was united in marriage to Sophus Nielsen of Neenah. The couple lived in that vicinity until 1900, when they moved to Saxeville. Here they farmed until 1921 when they moved to Waupaca; making their home since that time. Mrs. Nielsen was a life long member of the Lutheran Church, and a devoted wife and mother. In addition to the bereaved husband she leaves to mourn their loss seven children: Alfred of Heaton, N.D., Arthur of Fessenden, N.D., Mrs. Fred Anderson of Kenosha, Mrs. Ellery Patterson of Wild Rose, Mrs. Adolph Lewis, Mrs. Lila Buck and Mrs. Kermit Pugmire, of Waupaca. There is also three brothers, Peter, Chris, and Charles of Neenah; and two sisters, Mrs. Peter Danielsen and Mrs. James Jensen of Saxeville; and 16 grand-children. One son died in 1918. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon of this week, the services being in charge of Rev. Henry N. Hansen of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. Internment was in the Saxeville Cemetery.
