William Henry "Will" Harris was born October 30, 1860, in the Town of Byron, Fond du Lac Co., WI, and died May 26, 1930, in Bertha, Todd Co., MN, at age 69. Buried in Paynesville Cemetery, Paynesville, Stearns Co., MN. He is the son of John Benjamin Harris of Byron Twp., Fond du Lac Co., WI, and Sarah Ann Abbey of Clarke Twp., Newcastle Dist., Durham Co., Canada West.
Isabel Estelle "Isey" Peterson was born September 8, 1869, in Burbank Twp., Kandiyohi Co., MN, and died August 21, 1910, in Melrose, Stearns Co., MN, at age 40. Buried in Paynesville Cemetery, Paynesville, Stearns Co., MN. She is the daughter of Lars Peterson of Norway and Martha Peterson of Norway. Isey, also spelled Iscey, was born a Peterson, but adopted at age 18 months old by the Levi King family.

LEAVES HUSBAND AND NINE CHILDREN TO MOURN HER UNTIMELY DEATH.
WAS FORTY YEARS OF AGE.
PASSED AWAY AUGUST 21, AND WAS LAID TO REST IN THE PAYNESVILLE CEMETERY.
Mrs. W. H. Harris, nee Isey Peterson, was born September 8, 1869, at Burbank, Kandiyohi County. She died on August 21, 1910, age 40 years, 11 months and 13 days. The remains were taken to Lintonville and laid to rest in the Paynesville Cemetery. When at the tender age of 18 months her mother died, she was adopted by a family with the name of King, which name she bore until she was married to W. H. Harris, December 18, 1890. They made their home at New London until 14 years ago when they came to Melrose and took up a claim at Lake Sylvia six miles north of town. After residing there 7 years they moved to Gilby, N. D., but returned to the Lake Sylvia farm after three years. The deceased is survived by her husband and nine children.

REMAINS BURIED HERE TUESDAY
William Harris is laid to rest in Paynesville Cemetery Tuesday Afternoon.
Funeral services were conducted at the local M.E. Church Tuesday afternoon for William Harris, a former resident of this place who passed away on May 26th; at the home of his sister, Mrs. Alfred King in Bertha. He had reached the age of 71 years, 6 months and 27 days. William Henry Harris was born at Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on October 30, 1858. At the age of nine he moved with his parents to the vicinity of St. Cloud and lived there nine years. They then moved to Paynesville and resided three miles west of here. He was united in marriage to Miss Icey Peterson of Regal in 1889. A few years later they moved to Melrose where most of their married life was spent. Ten children were born to this union, two of whom preceded their father in death. Orin, the eldest, died at the age of 16, and Sarah the youngest, died at 18 months. His wife also preceded him, passing away on August 21, 1910. Mr. Harris was in apparent good health until last November when he suffered a stroke. In January he had another and on May 19th., a third which left him in a coma until he died. The surviving children are Warren of Grand Forks, N.D., Roy of Deerwood, Allilson, Cyrus and Gordon of Minneapolis, Melvin of Johnstown, N.D., Ben of St. Ann, Illinois and Allismon Mrs. R. E. Hunt of Deerwood. He also leaves three brothers George and John of Paynesville and Ernest of Regal, and four sisters, Mrs. Walter King of Redwood Falls, Mrs. Alfred King of Bertha, Mrs. Ida Brewer of Detroit, Michigan and Mrs. Ella Latterell of Foley. All the children were here for the funeral except Mrs. Hunt and Mrs. Brewer was the only one of his brothers and sisters not present.
