TIMELINE Ontario was known as: "Upper Canada" from December 26, 1791, to February 10, 1841; "Canada West" from February 10, 1841, to July 1, 1867; and "Ontario" after July 1, 1867. Archelaus Towne Hall is buried in Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City, Broome Co., NY. Thanks to Find-A-Grave for making this image available. From Kay Koslan: I had some questions. Then Donna brought up about William Sidney Fox’s daughter, Katherine Fox married Harmon Hall. There goes the Altenburg’s again! Now your Bible pages probably were from Sarah Jane’s Bible, don’t you think? I have to think it belonged to Sarah and/or Archelaus. If you notice the entries, the same person appears to have entered all of those first birth and marriage entries at the same time. Then the next entries appear to be the death of Archelaus or marriage of Charles and Elizabeth. Then the birth of Harmon, Wano and death of George and Wano. The death dates are not in the order they happened. It seems different family members added to it over the years. I’m wondering if after Archelaus died it didn’t go to one of George’s children? Harmon died in 1915, but he is not listed. Wano Euphemia married in 1920, died in 1955. No entry for either. Interesting side note. Harmon married a Fox, born in Corry, Erie, PA. Location of picture on page 3. Margaret Altenburg (1823-1904) married George Adam Dockstader Fox. They are parents of William Sidney Fox. His daughter, Katharine, married Harmon.
