He is the son of Archelaus Towne Hall of Westfield, Chautauqua Co., NY, and Sarah Jane "Jennie" Altenburg of Binghamton, Broome Co., NY.

Elizabeth Paxton "Eliza" Johnston was born May 12, 1861, in Freeport, Armstrong Co., PA, and died December 19, 1940, at Brown Memorial Hospital, Conneaut, OH, at age 80. Buried in East Lake Cemetery, North Kingsville, Ashtabula Co., OH. She is the daughter of Unknown.

Married (2) November 15, 1926, in Toledo, Lucas Co., OH, to Eileen Haswell: Born May 6, 1905, in England; Died January 6, 1996, in West Hartford, Hartford Co., CT (age 90). Marjorie then married (2) about 1926, in Unknown, to Edgar Adlai Ewing: Born December 11, 1886, in Chicago, Cook Co., IL; Died April 19, 1950, at St. Joseph's of the Pines, McNeill Twp., Moore Co., NC (age 63). Buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Southern Springs, Moore Co., NC.
  2. Marguerite E. Hall: Born September 5, 1886, in Oil City, Venango Co., PA; Died August 15, 1966, in Newport Beach, Orange Co., CA (age 79). Buried in Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona del Mar, Orange Co., CA. Never married.
  3. Virginia Johnston Hall: Born February 2, 1893, in Oil City, Venango Co., PA; Died June 11, 1972, in North Kingsville, Ashtabula Co., OH (age 79). Buried in East Lake Cemetery, North Kingsville, Ashtabula Co., OH. Married November 28, 1916, at the Rittenhouse, Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA, to Archibald Benjamin "Archie" McGrew Jr.: Born February 2, 1893, in Greensburg, Westmoreland Co., PA; Died December 6, 1973, in Indiana, Indiana Co., PA (age 80). Divorced November 28, 1924, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA. Buried in Oakland Cemetery and Mausoleum, Indiana, Indiana Co., PA.
  4. Doris Jane Hall: Born September 20, 1898, in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny Co., PA; Died October 30, 1984, in Laguna Niguel, Orange Co., CA (age 86). Buried in Pacific View Memorial Park, Corona del Mar, Orange Co., CA. Married May 15, 1919, at Bellefield Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA, to Davis Winhold Glass: Born August 11, 1896, in Ingram, Allegheny Co., PA; Died due to suicide, July 7, 1940, at the rear of Keystone Lumber Co., Ross Twp., Allegheny Co., PA (age 43). Buried in Union Dale Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA.

George F. Hall

George F. Hall, a former well-known citizen of Binghamton, died Thursday at Cleveland, Ohio, after an illness of a few days, death being due to pneumonia. Mr. Hall was 58 years of age and is survived by two children, one son, Harmon, and one daughter, Wano; also his mother, Mrs. A. F. Hall, of this city, and one brother, Charles T. Hall, of Pittsburgh. The body arrived in the city late last evening and the funeral was held this afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of his mother, 123 Griswold street. Burial was in Floral Park Cemetery.


The 1915 New York State Census dated 1915, shows Sarah J. Hall (age 84) and having live in the United States for 76 years, is the Head of Household, and is living in the 12th Ward, City of Binghamton, Broome Co., NY.
