Funeral services were held Friday, July 4yh, from Silverwood United Church for Samuel Foster Lenderbeck, aged 65 years. Rev. Alden of Michigan conducted the services. Pall bearers were J. Funk, Frank Sawataky, Dave Clausen, Cornelius Heibert, Pete Wiens and Chas. Burrell. Burial was made in Mount View cemetery. Mr. Lenderbeck was born at Chatham, Ont., and he lived in the States for sometime but in 1914 he moved to Chaplin, Sask., here he married Mary Heibert and they moved to Boggy Creek district in 1934. Mr. Lenderbeck was a carpenter by trade and during his farming career was able to use his trade on many occasions. One of the highlights of his life was when he took part in the Yukon gold rush. Of late years he had not been in the best of health, suffering a lot but complaining little. He was a member of the Mennonite New Church. He is survived by his wife, three sons Earl, Edward and Clayton at home, three daughters Mrs. Peter Wiens, Boggy Creek (Mavis), Mrs. Charles Burrell (Marjory), Togo; and Undene at Winnepeg also one brother Charles at Silver City, Nevada, U.S., to them we extend our sincere sympathy.
Maria (Hiebert) Lenderbeck died February 8, 1973, at the home of her daughter, Aldergrove, BC, Canada, at age 76. Buried in Mountainview Cemetery, Silverwood, Roblin, Russell, Rossburn Census Division, Manitoba, Canada.
