Mary Ann Blake was born March 13, 1845, in Blair Co., PA, and died January 1, 1935, in Wilkinsburg, Allegheny Co., PA, at age 89. Buried in Orbisonia Cemetery, Orbisonia , Huntingdon Co., PA. She is the daughter of James Blake of Maryland, and Susanna "Susan" Eshelman of Pennsylvania.

Capt. W. B. Blake
Capt. William B. Blake of the 125th and 208th Pa. Infantry during the Civil War, died at Hopewell on Monday, September 6, aged 70 years. Particulars of his death will be given next week.

Capt. William B. Blake was born in Blair County about 70 years ago and passed away at his home in Hopewell on September 6 of cerebral hemorrhages. Deceased served in the 125th and 208th Regiments Penna. Infantry and held the rank of Captain. He was a prominent citizen and a supporter of the Democratic party. For a number of years Capt. Blake was employed in the Railway Mail Service between Huntingdon and Cumberland and made many friends. His wife, who was Miss Mary Weaver, and three children survive: Roy and Mrs. David Fluke, of Hopewell, and Mrs. William Ross of Pittsburg. He also leaves two brothers and a sister - Samuel and Joseph Blake and Mrs. Alfred Burns, all of Orbosonia. Rev. W. W. Reese had charge of the funeral services, which were held on September 8 in the M. E. Church of Hopewell. Interment in the I. O. O. F. Cemetery.

ALBERT BURNS
Albert Burns, who engaged in the livery business in Orbisonia, Huntingdon county, for many years, died suddenly at 11:30 o'clock Monday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Anna M. Mateer, 2031 Broad avenue, Altoona,, Pa. He suffered an attack of heart trouble and passed away before medical aid could be summoned. He seemed in his usual state of health when he arose Monday morning and had not complained of feeling bad. Deceased was a native of Woodbury, Pa., and was 79 years old. He had retired from the livery business some years ago. He was a brother of the late W. H. and M. Burns, who operated a livery business in Altoona for many years. He was a veteran of the Civil war,, and was a member of Company C, 99th regiment, Pennsylvania volunteers. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Blake Burns; two daughters and one son, Mrs. Augusta McDermott of Pittsburgh, Mrs. Hazel Toppings of Tampa, Fla., and Ronald Burns of Lewistown. Two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Espenlaub and Mrs. Mateer, at whose home he died, also survive. The body was taken to Orbisonia, Thursday morning, for interment.

OBITUARY
Mrs. Mary A. Burns
Mount Union, Jan. 3. - Mrs. Mary A. Burns, a resident of Orbisonia for many years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. W. McDermitt, Frankstown Road, Wilkensburg, Pa., January 1, 1935 at 7 a. m. Mrs. Burns suffered an injury in a fall three years ago and the effects of this accident with the infirmities of advanced age, caused her death. She will be remembered by Huntingdon county people because she was a resident of Orbisonia annd conducted a millinery establishment there for almost half a century. Born March 13, 1845, in Blair County, Pa., Mary A. Burns was the daughter of James and Susan (Eshelman) Blake. Her father for many years was connected with the furnaces at Rockhill. She was married to Albert Burns March 14, 1879 at Shirleysburg, Pa., by the Rev. W. E. Hoch, a pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church. The husband was a Civil War veteran, being a member of Co. C, 99th Pa. Infantry. He died August 16, 1925. Surviving are two daughters and one son, Mrs. W. W. McDermitt of Wilkinsburg, Mrs. W. P. Topping of Wilmington, Del., and Ronald J. Burns of Lewistown. After a prayer service Thursday at 8 p. m. at the McDermitt home the remains will be taken to the Blatt funeral home in Orbisonia where friends may call Friday afternoon until the time of the funeral at 2:30. The services on Friday afternoon will be in charge of the Rev. M. S. Q. Mellott, and interment will be made in the Orbisonia cemetery.
