Letha Jane "Deedie" Pratt was born August 8, 1887, in Richland Center, Richland Co., WI, and died January 17, 1982, in Thousand Oaks, Ventura Co., CA, at age 94. She is the daughter of Wallace Edwin Pratt of Jericho, Chittenden CO., VT, and Frances "Fanny" Goodrich of St. Charles, Kane Co., IL.

Buried in Richland Center Cemetery, Richland Center, Richland Twp., Richland Co., WI. She is the daughter of Reed Hyndman of Westerlo, Albany Co., NY, and Emily Maria Winans of Oswego, Oswego Co., NY.

Theodore Merwin Brewer (age 23), a bachelor, and Kathryn Alice "Kate" Hyndman (age 25), a maiden, were married April 30, 1898, in Richland Co., WI.

Death of Mrs. Wallace Pratt

Mrs. Wallace Pratt died at her home on Park street Tuesday after a short illness. She was 48 years of age and is survived by her husband and one daughter. She recently went to visit at Boscobel and while there became ill. She was brought home and died soon afterward.

Mrs. Wallace Pratt of Richland Center, who was taken seriously ill while on her way here to visit her sister, Mrs. Joe Davis, passed away last Tuesday at her home, she having been removed there by auto on Saturday previous. She was the wife of Wallace Pratt, a prominent furniture and undertaker of Richland Center. Funeral services were held Friday, Aug. 2 and was attended by a large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends. Joe Davis and wife of this city, were in attendance.

Buried in Richland Center Cemetery, Richland Center, Town of Richland, Richland Co., WI. Letha Jane (Pratt) Martin became the special guardian of her half-sister, Marion Estelle Pratt, on December 11, 1919, in Richland Center, Richland Co., WI. To settle the estate, Marion's share of the estate of her father was sold to Roy Ellis Pratt for $1,000.

Madison Woman Dies of Car Crash Injuries

Mrs. T. M. Brewer Succumbs at Fond du Lac

FOND DU LAC - Mrs. T. M. Brewer, 447 Jean street, Madison, died today at a Fond du Lac hospital from injuries sustained in an auto accident near here Thursday. She was injured when her husband's car skidded on a wet pavement and collided with one driven by Traffic Officer Robert Shiels. They were on their way to visit their daughter here. Survivors besides the widower are four sons, T. T. and Gordon, Madison; Robert, Blue River; and Kenneth, Viroqua; a daughter, Mrs. Avis Paulson, Fond du Lac, and two sisters in Portland, Ore. She had lived in Madison five years, moving here from Richland Center.

Theodore Brewer Granted Divorce

Theodore M. Brewer, 70, of 310 E. Mifflin st., shop superintendent of the Wisconsin Foundry and Machine Co., was granted a divorce Friday from from Mrs. Lestha J. Brewer, 57, Milwaukee, Milwaukee beautician. Brewer said his wife left him May 15, 1943. The decree was granted on grounds of desertion. The couple married Apr. 13, 1933, in Madison. It was the second marriage for both.

Former Resident Dies in Washington

Chester Paulsen, 54, a former Waukesha resident, died suddenly Nov. 4, at White Salmon, Wash. He had been suffering from a heart ailment for some time. Mr. Paulsen resided in Waukesha for many years. He was connected with the Oliver Construction co. and was a member of the First Methodist church and the Rotary club here. He is survived by his widow, who lives in White Salmon, Wash., and four brothers Ted of White Salmon, Serenus of Milwaukee and Otto and Ralph, both of Madison. Mr. Paulsen and his brother, Ted, operated the Benje Forest Product co. at White Salmon. Interment was in White Salmon, but friends and relatives are planning a memorial service to take place here in December.

MRS. MABEL BARTON

Funeral for Mrs. Mabel Marie Barton, 59, wife of LeRoy C. Barton, vice president of the Portland Trust Bank, will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at Edward Holman & Son, with committal at Portland Memorial Mausoleum. Mrs. Barton, long ill with arthritis, died at a Seaside hospital Friday. She and her husband had been at Seaside for a vacation. Their home was at 4115 Far View Drive, Vancouver. Mrs. Barton was born Aug. 18, 1900, in Chicago. She was married June 10, 1924, in Spokane. From 1941 to 1951, they lived at White Salmon, where Mr. Barton was president of the Security State Bank. They were in Portland from 1951 to 1956, moving to Vancouver then. Mrs. Barton was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Portland while here and then the First Presbyterian in Vancouver. Besides the widower, she is survived by one daughter, Shirley Jeanne Barton, New York City.

He was born near Steptoe, Wash. He attended business college in Spokane and worked as a banker in Seattle and White Salmon, Wash. He retired to Spokane from Portland in 1967. He was a member of Manito Presbyterian Church and the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Barton of New York City; one brother, Roland Barton of Newman Lake; and one sister, Pearl Barton of Spokane.
