BRINGS SON-IN-LAW IN TO FACE SENTENCE

Princeton, Feb. 15. - (Special)

A SEARCH of several months in which a father-in-law spent a considerable sum of money and relied on every available means, including radio, to locate his son-in-law, ended today when William Wooten of Denver, Colo., brought his daughter's husband, Floyd Isaacs into the Gibson circuit court and the latter received a suspended prison sentence for theft. In September, 1928, Isaacs, in company with Grant Wise, jr., of this county, drove a truck to the farm of Charles B. Runcie near Ft. Branch where they loaded in three cows and drove to Danville, Ill., where they were sold. Wise was later implicated as one of the thieves and pleaded guilty in circuit court and was given a suspended prison sentence with the understanding that Mr. Runcie be reimbursed for his loss. He declared Isaacs, who had disappeared, was his companion. William Wooten heard of the charges against his son-in-law and apprehensive of the good name of his daughter, began a search for Isaacs. He came to Princeton and conferred with Judge Claude A. Smith and was promised that if Isaacs would come into court and promise to pay his share of the money due Runcie, a suspended sentence would be given to him. The father-in-law left telling the court he would spend every dollar he had to find Isaacs, for his daughter's sake. Then began a search which at last ended in California and he induced Isaacs to return to Princeton with him and today they walked into court. Mr. Wooten, who is evidently a man of means, paid the entire amount due Mr. Muncie and all other expenses to which the court had been put.
