Mary Elizabeth Gest (Husman) was my
Grandfather George D. Husman's older sister. She was born 5 August 1889 to Dick
H. Husman and Alice (Engle) Husman do not know where. She died 9 November 1918 at
Lost Nation, Iowa. Married Louis Gest 4 November 1909 they had 3 children Alice
Ione, Lowell and Sylvia. Sylvia must have been your Grandmother for I see she was
married to Albert Campbell. I also have three pictures of her. Hope this helped
you. Also other brothers were Richard Todd, Clarence and Purl Theodore Husman
Terry Lester a distant relative
Nobody really has any facts about my
Great Grandma Mary E. Gest. She married Lewis Gest. Not sure when. She had 3
Children named Sylvia Gest, Lowell Gest, and Alice Gest. She was raised by Alice
and Dick Husman in Seiling Oklahoma. My family really wants to know what
happened to her. And also where she is buried. Anyone researching the Husman's???
Maybe you can help. I found a stone with Mary E. Colwell Gest on it on
findgraves.com but not sure if that is her. Like I said I really need a maiden
name. I am not sure if she is related to the Husman's or not. An old Census I
found from Seiling Oklahoma says Mary is Alice and Drich's Grand daughter but my
family says they are not related just simply stepped in to take care of my
grandma when her parents passed.
Again her name is Mary E. Gest (MARRIED)
Married to Lewis Gest
I am wanting to know where I can find her! Thanks
Sorry made a mistake on my post.
Mary & Lewis Gest Children are
Sylvia Gest, Lowell Gest, Alice Gest.
These Children where raised by Alice and Dick Husman in Seiling Oklahoma.
All three children were born in South Dakota.
Mary and Lewis Gest were both born in Iowa (according to a 1930's Seiling
Oklahoma Census)
I am looking for Mary Gest's Maiden name.

Married 1934 to Robert Otis Laird: Born June 3, 1905, in Oklahoma; Died October

Sylvia E. Gest (1914 - 1970) married Albert Campbell (1912 - 1974)
Hi yes Mary would be my great grandma.
Sylvia is my father's mother. I would love to have pictures if you could send
them to my email. micacampbell@suddenlink.net
I have some other information I have pulled up on some of "our" family if you
would like to see any of it. I would really really really love to see pictures.
Thank you so much
Also have some questions on how you
know she died? Our family thought for the longest that she was murdered but I
have done some research on her and have found out that she might of died from
the flu along with her husband. Can you tell me any information about this. I
would absolutely love to speak with you. You seem to know a lot about my great
grandma Mary. Also if you know where she is buried. My dad wants to know before
he dies the story behind her.
I have no idea how Mary died, she was
only 27 years old when she passed away. Like I said I have her dying 9 Nov 1918
in Lost Nation, Iowa. Can't even find it on the map, her husband Louis was only
36 when he passed away in Grandmound, Iowa. You might check their also for Mary.
I'm not very good with computers so maybe my wife or daughter will help me with
the pictures. In any event I will get them to you. If you need any further info
on Mary's ancestors let me know.
A distant relative Terry
I also have a book that a husman lady gave me
right before she died at the age of 100. I would love to share it with you if
you need any of it.
