Mr. Fancher was born in Braintrim, then Luzerne County, September 7th, 1793. She gave evidence of obtaining a good hope in Christ, and was baptised by Eld. Jacob Drake, and united with the Baptist Church when about eleven years of age. She has maintained her profession ever since, in such a manner that no one that knew her had a reason to doubt the reality of her adoption into the family of God's children. She was esteemed and beloved by all that know her. She suffered severely for many months with that dreadful disease, Consumption, but was never known to murmur or complain. She was perfectly resigned to die, and said to the writer, that she had an assurance in her mind, that she should go to dwell with the Saviour that she had always loved from the time she thought He had given her a new heart. She had times in the first part of her pilgrimage, of doubting her hope, by examining her life, but when she has carried her case to the Lord, he had always given her relief from her fears. And now she was ready to leave her numerous friends, and all of earth for Heaven. And when the time of her departure had fully come, she died without a struggle, having given her last farewell to them all. She has left a kind husband, a large family of children, and a large circle of friends to mourn her loss. The 1860 U. S. Census taken on July 7, 1860, shows P. W.
