Yes I did and still have many questions. My Timothy Patrick Cain married Mary McAndrews. He immigrated into the united states and lived in New York. Then made his way to Ellsworth, Wisconsin where he and Mary were married. In 1899 -1900 he took a land grant and started farming in Benson, Minnesota. Mary and Timothy had about 13 children, but not all survived infancy. Mary McAndrews had two brothers and searching census showed that these brothers were in the same locations with Timothy and Mary in New York, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Seems like all of them were farmers. The family lore says that Timothy immigrated as a youngster and came over with his family. I have not been able to identify any brothers or sisters for Timothy Patrick Cain but suspect there should be some brothers. Since Mary's brothers locations were frequently associated with her locations, if Timothy had siblings I have always been curious if those siblings may have gone along as well. Timothy Patrick Cain is my Great Grandfather. Charles Patrick Cain was my grandfather and Timothy's son. Charles Patrick Cain worked in a country store in Benson per the census and was in the Army during WWI. Timothy Patrick Cain also had a son Maurice who was in the Army and died in the Spanish American war of malaria. Two other sons were Timothy Joseph Cain who became the Police Chief in Gillespie Illinois and John Edward Cain who spent some time farming in the Dakotas. Any thing sound familiar? Would love to trade information. Feel free to contact me at stevencain@ec.rr.com.
