Emaline Lucinda Fuller was born December 21, 1847, in Michigan, and died September 22, 1919, in Waterville Twp., Le Sueur Co., MN, at age 71. Buried in Sakatah Cemetery, Waterville, Le Sueur Co., MN. She is the daughter of George Fuller of Unknown, and Rosana "Rosa" Abbey of Durham Co., Upper Canada.

David Alexander Rodgers served in the Civil War in Company L, 1st Regiment, Minnesota Heavy Artillery. Companies ordered to Chattanooga, Tenn., as fast as organized and garrison duty there until September, 1865. Mustered out September 27, 1865. Regiment lost during service by disease 87.

Charles Rodgers left here last Thursday for Waterville, Minnesota, to visit his parents. Mr. Rodgers made his home there for many years, his parents moving there shortly before the civil war.


Emaline Lucinda (Fuller) Rodgers died September 22, 1919, in Waterville Twp., Le Sueur Co., MN, at age 71.

OBITUARY.

David Alexander Rodgers was born in Beaver county, Pennsylvania, on April 19th., 1836, and passed away at the home of his son, Charles E. Rodgers, in Anita, Iowa, on November 30th., 1926, at the age of 90 years, 7 months and 11 days. On July 31st., 1861, Mr. Rodgers was united in marriage to Emeline Fuller. To this union eight children were born, three of whom are now living, Charles E. of Anita, and William and Frank of Waterville, Minnesota. Mr. Rodgers enlisted in the Civil War in Company "F" First Minnesota Heavy Artillery, and served during the war and was given an honorable discharge at the close, when he returned to Waterville, Minnesota, where he engaged in farming, and where he spent the remainder of his life, and where his body was laid to rest beside that of his companion who preceded him in death on September 22nd., 1919. After the death of his wife his home was kept up by his daughter, Daisy, until her death on February 22nd., 1920. Since that time he has made his home with his children, having spent the greater part of the last three years at the home of his son Charles in Anita. Besides his three sons he leaves ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Mr. Rodgers was a man of frugal habits and was always interested in the good of all. His going marks another of the rapidly thinning ranks of the boys of the '60s. The body was taken to Waterville, Minnesota after a brief religious service at the home of his son, Charles, on Wednesday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock, conducted by Rev. E. 0. Douglass, pastor of the Methodist church; where the funeral was held and the body laid to rest. The body was accompanied by his son, Charles.
