Elsie Isabella Gilby was born September 8, 1886 in Ontario, Canada, and died 1977 in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada, at about age 91. She is the daughter of John Straw Gilby of St. John Parish, City of York, Micklegate, County Yorkshire, England and Elsie Reid Young of Berlin, Canada West.

Elsie Isabella (Gilby) Day, picture taken on William James Gilby's homestead in Millarfield, east of Drumheller, Alberta. Ed had served in World War I and received a homestead in Millarfield, Alberta, Canada, through the government Soldier's Settlement program. In the 30's they moved to Rocky Mountain House, Alberta where they remained until the end of their lives.


Edward Day died 1965 in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada, at about age 80.

Elsie Isabella (Gilby) Day died 1977 in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Canada, at about age 91.
