Funeral for James Monto, 74, retired city of Portland fireman, will be Wednesday, at 1:30 p.m. in Miller & Tracey chapel, with interment in Lone Fir cemetery. Mr. Monto was born in Portland August 13, 1882 and lived here all his life. He died Sunday at his residence, 8100 S.E. Cooper street. He is survived by the widow, Josephine W., a son Earl of Pasadena, Cal.; sisters, Mrs. Bertha Davidson and Mrs. Ellen Buirgy, Portland; Eva Kirkham, California and brother, Peter Kirkham, Portland.
