Miss Mary E. Hatfield, who resides in Portstown, a suburb of Huntingdon, was returning home last Friday evening from a visit to a niece in Huntingdon, when she was run down by the Huntingdon reformatory team and seriously injured. In the carriage at the time were Mrs. T. B. Patton, wife of the superintendent of the reformatory, formerly of Altoona, and her sister, Mrs. H. D. Huff of Altoona. It was very dark at the place where the accident occurred and the careful driver, David Kelly, was proceeding at moderate speed. Miss Hatfield was carrying an umbrella and did not see the team approach. The driver did not see her until the horses knocked  her down. Two ribs were fractured and she was badly bruised.
