Mrs. Eva Leander was born in Krugsberga, Smolend, Sweden, July 11th, 1833, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Swenson, near Alta Vista, July 18th, 1922, at the age of 89 years and 7 days. She was united in marriage in her native land to Andrew Leander. To this union were born seven children, two sons and five daughters, one son and two daughters having passed away. After the death of her husband in 1906 she came to America, making her home with her children, Mr. Karl Leander of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Swan Bolinder of Dwight, Mrs. Pete Nordeen of ElCampo, Texas, and Mrs. Carl Swenson of Alta Vista. She leaves to mourn her death besides son and daughters, 24 grandchildren and 8 greatgrandchildren, also many friends who came in contact with her. Never complaining, living the Christ life as best she could, she was indeed an example for us to pattern after. "There is no death! what seems so is transition; This life of mortal breath Is but a suburb of the life elyion, Whose portal we call Death."
