Margaret Davis was born March 17, 1797, in County Bercknock (Bercknockshire), Wales, and died May 1, 1885, in Oakfield Twp., Fond du Lac Co., WI, at age 88 years 1 month and 14 days. Buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Oakfield, Fond du Lac Co., WI. She is the daughter of Unknown.

DAVID WORTHING IS DEAD

Pioneer of the Village of Omro Has Passed Away.

Fond du Lac, Wis., Feb. 17. David Worthing, for many years a resident of the village of Oakfield, and a pioneer settler of that vicinity, died at his home there at 10:30 Thursday evening. He was born April 13, 1830 at Radnorshire, Wales, and celebrated his fourteenth birthday by embarking with his parents for America. The family came immediately to Wisconsin, locating in Kenosha county. In 1851 Mr. Worthing purchased a farm in the town of Lomira, Dodge county, where he resided for many years. He was married to Miss Sarah A. Laivery, April 20, 1851 and she died November 26, 1855, leaving one small son, Frank M. Mr. Worthing was married November 29, 1857 to Jane Parratt. They moved to Oakfield village in 1894 and Mrs. Worthing died there last November. Mr. Worthing has held many town offices. For several years he was a supervisor, for nine years assessor and for ten years chairman of the town board. He was a member of the Oakfield lodge F. and A. M. For several years he has been confined to his home by illness. He is survived by five children: Frank M., of Kendall, Mich., Mrs. Adelia E. Edwards, Marietta J., Walter W. and Mrs. Myrtie A. Barber, all of Oakfield; two sisters, Mrs. Anne Shidell, of Sparta, and Mrs. Eliza Johnson, of Iowa; and two brothers, James, of this city, and Aaron, of Hillsdale, Mich. The funeral will be held Monday morning from the residence. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
