Mrs. Goldie Krause, 82, 308 24th St., died Friday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Born May 1, 1890, at Tabor, Iowa, Mrs. Krause had lived in Sioux City since 1952, when she moved here from Omaha. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Beckner and Mrs. Clara Terry, both of Sioux City, and a nephew, Robert H. Beckner of Fremont, Neb. The body was taken to the Heaton-Westcott Funeral Home.

Mrs. Wallace Krause, 64, of Clinton, Iowa, a former Sioux City resident, died Saturday at her home following a brief illness. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in the Congregational Church at Green Island, Iowa, with burial in the Green Valley Iowa, Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Gallagher Funeral Home of Bellevue, Iowa. Mrs. Krause, the former Bertha "Toodie" Becker, was born March 3, 1912, in Omaha. She moved to Dakota City with her parents in 1912, and to South Sioux City in 1928. She was married to Wallace Krause, and after their marriage, the couple moved in 1936 to Green Island where they operated a summer resort until 1945. They farmed near Green Island from 1945 until Mr. Krause's death in 1960. Mrs. Krause was a member of the Congregational Church in Green Island. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Marjorie (Eugene) Clark of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Miss Marlene of Clinton; two sons, James and Gary, both of Clinton; one sister, Mrs. Vincent (Marjorie) Campbell of South Sioux City; five brothers, Donald of Alliance, Neb., Herbert "Barney" of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Bob, J. M. and Jack, all of South Sioux City, and 15 grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Sabula. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Sabula, Iowa. Pastor Robert Krueger of the Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula officiated. Visitations were held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2006 at the Law-Jones Funeral Home, Sabula. Marlene was born August 7, 1953 at Bellevue Memorial Hospital, Bellevue Iowa, the daughter of Wally E. and Bertha L. (Becker) Krause. She is a graduate of the Bellevue High School with the Class of 1971. Marlene married Edward J. Kuhl on July 28, 1979 in Andover Faith Lutheran Church, Andover Iowa. Marlene worked at Wal-Mart in Clinton, Iowa for the past five years. Before working at Wal-Mart Marlene worked at Ralston Purina and Reese Brothers in Clinton, Iowa. Marlene was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church, Sabula for many years. Marlene enjoyed gardening, canning, playing cards and making crafts. She loved cooking in her kitchen for her family. Marlene will be dearly missed by her husband, Edward J. Kuhl of Sabula, Iowa; one son, John (Barbara) Kuhl of Long Grove, Iowa; one daughter, Renee Krause of Clinton, Iowa; one granddaughter; two brothers, Jim (Darla) Krause of Clinton, Iowa and Gary (Chong) Krause of Clinton, Iowa; one sister, Marge Kopplin of Rockford. Her parents and one brother, Terry, precede Marlene in death.

CLINTON — Gary Dean Krause Sr., 64, of Clinton, passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center North Campus. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2011, at Green Island Congregational Church, Green Island, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2011, at Lemke Funeral Homes, North Chapel, 2304 North 2nd Street. Burial will take place in Reeseville Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Homes is assisting the family. Gary was born November 24, 1946, in Bellevue, Iowa, the son of Wallace Emery and Bertha Luella (Becker) Krause. Gary graduated from Marquette High School in 1965. Gary was a United States Army veteran serving two terms in Vietnam from March 1966 – December 1972. Gary married Chong Yi on June 1, 1970, in Seoul, Korea. Gary worked for Ralston Purina for 15 years as a welder. He went on to open up Krause Welding in 1986. Gary was a life member of Disabled American Veterans, a member of Green Island Congregational Church and he had a passion for John Deere tractors. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Chong, of Clinton; his son, Terry (Theresa) Krause of Fulton, Ill.,; his daughter, Sherry (Dan) Sullivan of Clinton; 4 grandchildren, Hillary, Emily, Karley, Michael; brother, Jim (Darla) Krause of Clinton; brother-in-law, Ed Kuhl of Sabula, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Gary; his brother, Terry; and his sister, Marlene.

Diane Lynn Clark was born on November 18, 1960 in Iowa City, Iowa, daughter of William Eugene Clark and Marjorie Ann (Kruse) Clark. She was a cook at Silvercrest in Anamosa. She is survived by three children, Jeremy McCutcheon of Maquoketa, Eric McCutcheon of Andrew, and Levi Kozlowski of Wyoming; five grandchildren, Tyler Usher, Tessa McCutcheon, McKenzee McCutcheon, Jesse McCutcheon and Morgan Jordan; a special friend, Mike Brownell of Wyoming; her mother, Marjorie Kopplin of Rockford, Illinois; two sisters, Connie Clark of Baldwin and Amy Powers of Marengo, Illinois; and two brothers, Michael (Brenda) Clark of Roscoe, Illinois and Robert Clark of Alvarado, Texas. William E. "Gene" Clark was born on November 30, 1938 in Iowa City, Iowa to Willard Clark and Olive Wallroff Clark. He was a 1957 graduate of Monmouth High School. He married Barbara Fish on January 4, 1981. William E. "Gene" Clark worked in the Foundry at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa for 18 years. He then became the caretaker for the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in North Garryowen for 18 years until present. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, mowing grass, playing cards and watching sports. He was very proud to work at the church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter- Madison. He is Survived By: His Wife, Barbara Clark; 2 Sons- Robert Clark of Arlington, TX & Michael (Brenda) Clark of Rockford, IL; 6 Daughters- Diane Clark of Wyoming, IA, Connie Clark of Baldwin, IA, Amy Clark of Rockford, IL, Jaime Fish (Jack Kalb) of Peosta, IA, Jonica Fish (Andy Ries) of Cascade, IA & Mary Ann Clark of Dubuque, IA; 7 Grandchildren; 1 Brother- John (Janice) Clark of Maquoketa, IA; & His Mother-In-Law- Merle Fish of Wheatland, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother- Richard "Dick" on July 27, 1983, 1 sister & his father-in-law, Crayton Fish on May 12, 1996. A William E. "Gene" Clark Memorial Fund has been established.
