Woodland Daily Democrat, Woodland, Yolo Co., CA, Monday, August 11, 1919 MENINGITIS CAUSE OF CHILD'S DEATH Pearl Marie, three year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Larson of Woodland, died suddenly early Sunday morning at the Children's hospital, San Francisco. The child had taken sick with a violent convulsion Saturday. She was removed to the hospital, where everything possible was done for her comfort. The doctors diagnosed the trouble as meningitis. Apparently the child was in good health, although she had previously suffered what were deemed minor sick spells, caused by stomach trouble. The parents are overcome with grief in the loss of their cherished one and the sympathy of the community is being extended to them. The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Larson home, 204 Clover street, and will be private.
