She was selected on the basis of her scholarship and student activities. American students will spend part of the summer living in the home of a foreign family selected by the service. Miss Fuller will be notified later of the country she will visit. Last summer she was a member on the American Field Service in Sweden. Her hobbies are photography, knitting and dancing. The Cedar Rapids Gazette, Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA, Sunday, March 3, 1963 Patti Fuller To Study in Germany INDEPENDENCE - Patti Fuller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fuller of Independence, and a student at Carleton college in Northfield, Minn., will spend part of her senior year studying in Europe. Miss Fuller recently received an appointment from the German department of Carleton for six months' study in Germany. Miss Fuller will leave for Europe on the student ship S. S. Waterman June 29 and will land at Rotterdam. From Rotterdam, she will go to Goteburg, Sweden, to visit her American Field service family there. Miss Fuller was an A.F.S. exchange student to Sweden in the summer of 1959. After visiting in Goteburg for three weeks, Miss Fuller will study at Goethe Institute in Grafing, Germany, near Munich, for eight weeks. During the month of October she will tour France, Italy, Switzerland and Greece. The last weeks of study will be at Freiburg, Germany. This is near the Black Forest and not far from where Miss Fuller's father spent his childhood.
