Per August Magnusson was born October 6, 1880, in Fröbbestorp, Torsås, Kalmar lan, Småland, Sweden, and died Saturday, March 18, 1950, at New Richmond Hospital, New Richmond, St. Croix Co., WI, at age 69. Buried in New Richmond Cemetery, New Richmond, St. Croix Co., WI. He is the son of Magnus Larsson of Fröbbestorp, Torsås, Kalmar lan, Småland, Sweden, and Ingrid Maria Petersdotter of Sweden. Never married.

Per emigrated by himself as a single male from Sweden to the U. S. A. from Queenstown February 5, 1901, on the S. S. Majestic at age 20 as an unmarried Laborer using the name Per Aug. Magnusson, arriving at the Port of New York on May 8, 1901. His last residence was at Torsås, Sweden, and he had $3 in cash with him. His final destination is to visit his uncle, Olaus Larsson, Box 537, Waupaca, Wis. He has a paid ticket to his final destination, which he paid for himself.
After arrival he changed his name to Per August Larson. He was also known as P. August Larson or Peter August Larson.
Per August Larson declared his intent to be a U. S. Citizen in May, 1901, in Waupaca Co., WI. Date filed: April 23, 1903.
The 1905 Wisconsin State Census taken on June 1, 1905, shows Alfred E. Johnson (age 35) born in Sweden to Sweden-born parents is a Farmer renting his farm and living in the Town of Farmington, Waupaca Co., WI. Living with him is his wife, Emiley Johnson (age 29) born in California to Sweden-born parents, who does Housekeeping. Also living there is Alfred's daughter, Cora Johnson (age 4) born in Wisconsin to Sweden and California-born parents. A Swedish Servant, Ellen Peterson (age 12) who does Housework also lives in the household. Also living there is August Larson (age 24) an unmarried Farm Laborer born in Sweden to Sweden-born parents.
The 1910 U. S. Census taken on April 29, 1910, shows P. August Larson (age 29), is an unmarried farm laborer servant living in the Town of Farmington, Waupaca Co., WI , and having emigrated from Sweden in 1901 with PA naturalization. He was living in the household of Alfred G. Johnson (age 39), a farmer renter widower emigrating from Sweden in 1889 with Naturalized citizenship. Living with him is his daughter, Cora Johnson (age 9) born in Wisconsin. Another servant and a boarder are in the household.
The WWI Draft Registration Report taken on September 15, 1918, shows Peter August Larson, age 37, born November 6, 1880, in Sweden is a Farmer working for himself and is living at Route #2?, Boyceville, Dunn Co., WI. His nearest relative is ??? Larson, Kelmer, Sweden.
The 1920 U. S. Census taken on February 10, 1920, shows P. August Larson (age 39) born in Sweden and emigrating from Sweden in 1901 with PA naturalization is an unmarried Farm Owner living in the Town of New Haven, Dunn Co., WI. He was living in the farm next to that of Alfred G. Johnson (age 49), a farm owner widower emigrating from Sweden in 1889 with Naturalized citizenship about 1900. Living with him is his daughter, Cora E. Johnson (age 19) born in Wisconsin. A boarder is also in the Johnson household.
The Larson/Lewis Family Reunion was held Sunday, August 2, 1925, at the Almo Larson Residence, Town of Farmington, Waupaca Co., WI. According to Freeda (Larson) Lewis, "All were related to either Gustav Larsson Lewis on my father's side of the family, or to Aunt Sophia Larsdotter Lundgren on my mother's side of family. Uncle Gust. was my father's brother. Aunt Sophia was my mother's sister."
