Nathan Nathaniel Bradley
Nathan Nathaniel Bradley was born January 28, 1819, in Newcastle District, Province of Ontario, and died May 10, 1900, in Kenockee Twp., St. Clair Co., MI, at age 81. Buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Avoca, St. Clair Co., MI. He is the son of Oliver Nathan Bradley of Haldimand Twp., Northumberland Co., Upper Canada, and Dorcas Potts Abbey of Dutchess Co., Province of New York. Eight children living at the time of his death.
Susannah Malinda "Malindy" Briggs was born June 12, 1821, in Dunham, Stanbridge East, Mississquoi Co., Lower Canada, and died November 8, 1892, in Sanilac Co., MI, at about age 71. Buried in Spring Hill Cemetery, Avoca, St. Clair Co., MI. She is the daughter of William Carmi Briggs, and Susan Hinkson.

Nathan N. Bradley has resided in Michigan since 1850. In January of that year, he came to Worth Township, Sanilac County, and purchased 80 acres of land, which he cleared and otherwise improved until the entire tract was in a valuable agricultural condition. On this land he resided for 26 years, when he sold it and came to Speaker Township. He bought a farm containing 120 acres, which he occupied for three years, at the end of that time again selling, after which he bought a farm of 120 acres in Fremont Township. The place comprised 115 acres of improved land, and he has continued its occupancy since he first bought it.
Mr. Bradley is a native of the Newcastle District, Province of Quebec, where he was born Jan. 28, 1819. His parents, Oliver and Dorcas (Abbey) Bradley, were natives of Connecticut and are both deceased. His mother died in Hope Township, Province of Quebec. His father died in Canada, where the family settled, his demise occurring when his son was in early youth.
He was married Oct. 11, 1842, to Melinda Briggs. Of this union nine children have been born, who are yet living. Two others are deceased. Philinda was born Dec. 23, 1844, and was married July 4, 1861, to Charles W. Locke; Diana, born June 10, 1849, was married June 25, 1870, to Joseph Sischo; David was born Nov. 30, 1852; Louisa, born Aug. 13, 1854, was married Feb. 19, 1874, to Andrew Allward; Melvina was born Jan. 25, 1857, and was married June 16, 1875, to Francis Hill; Reuben was born June 20, 1859, and was married June 5, 1883, to Polly Locke; Delina was born Oct. 4, 1863, and was married Sept. 9, 1880, to William Spencer; Francis Edwin was born April 13, 1866; Henry, April 7, 1868; Susannah, born June 30, 1847, died Sept. 16, 1848; William, born July 7, 1843, died June 19, 1870.
The mother is the daughter of William and Susan (Hinkson) Briggs. Her father was born June 5, 1800, and died in August, 1881. Her mother was born Sept. 12, 1799, and died July 9, 1845. They both died in Whitby Township, Province of Quebec.
Bradley, Henry Henry Bradley, a former resident of this vicinity, died in Pontiac June 10, 1928. The remains were brought to the Bankert Funeral home from which place funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon with Rev O.P. Eastman officiating. Burial was in the Roseburg cemetery. Deceased was born in Worth Township, Sanilac county, Mich., April 7, 1868. He married Agnes Hilliker March 1, 1893. To this union eight children were born. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Birdsley Knisley, Port Huron; Mrs. Ed Olson, Pontiac; and four sons, Lee, Port Huron, Archie, John, and Purl of Pontiac, also three brothers and one sister.
Bradley, Agnes Agnes, wife of Henry Bradley, of Yale, died November 2nd, 1923 at age age if 52 years, 11 months, and 16 days. Agnes Hilliker was born November 7th, 1870 in Sanilac County, and was married to Henry Bradley, March 1st, 1893. Eight children were born to them. Pearl, of Pontiac, Archie of Greenwood, Lea of Port Huron, John of Detroit, Mrs. Bery Knisley of Greenwood, Mr. Ed Olson of Detroit, and Willie at home. Also a baby who died Nov. 29th, 1895. Mrs. Bradley has been a Christian of the Methodist church for twenty years. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church on Monday at 1:30 pm with Rev Gooke officiating.
