DEATH ENDS LONG ILLNESS OF MRS. A. M. KEATING

Following an illness of 18 months, Mrs. Alice Maude Keating, 53 years old, a resident of Sioux City for the past 25 years, died at her home, Tuesday. Mrs. Keating was born in Flint, Mich., Oct. 7, 1871, and lived there several years. She was a member of the Degree of Honor lodge and one of the Ladies auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. Surviving are a son, J. C. Keating, and a daughter, Mrs. Eleanor Anderson, both of Sioux City. Funeral services will be held at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic church, Thursday morning, at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in Graceland park cemetery. Ginn's undertaking establishment is in charge of arrangements.


Carl Esterline (age 19) born in Michigan, a Farmer, and Nellie Seaton (age 18) born in Michigan, a Teacher, were married November 19, 1921, in Mt. Pleasant, Isabella Co., MI.

The 1925 Iowa State Census shows Jerry C. Keating (age 35) born in Kansas and having lived in Iowa for 25 years is Unmarried and owns his home worth $4,000 with a mortgage is living about 1200 Hill Avenue, Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA. His parents were Pat Keating of Unknown and Alice Serills of Michigan, both deceased. He had served from Iowa in the Army.

William George "Will" Keating died October 13, 1928, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Sioux City, Sioux Twp., Woodbury Co., IA, at age 61. Buried in Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA.

The 1930 U. S. Census dated April 10, 1930, shows Jerry C. Keating (age 40) born in Kansas to Michigan and Illinois-born parents is an unmarried Steam Railroad Conductor and is Rooming at 1504 Rock Street, Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA.

The 1930 U. S. Census dated April 5, 1930, shows Henry Brandeberry (age 46) born in Ohio to Ohio and Pennsylvania-born parents, and first married at age 32, is a married General Laborer, and who owns his home worth $2,000 and is living at 210 Elizabeth, 2nd Pct., City of Mt. Pleasant, Isabella Co., MI. Living with him are: his wife, Libbie Brandeberry (age 51) born in New York to New York-born parents, and first married at age 37; and his unmarried step-son, Almeron Seaton (age 24) born in Michigan to Michigan and New York-born parents.

Patrick Francis "Pat" Keating died June 26, 1930, at his home at 1038 Twenty-seventh Street, Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA, at age 71.

RESIDENT HERE 45 YEARS DIES

Patrick Francis Keating Succumbs to Long Illness

Patrick Francis Keating, 71 years old, died Thursday afternoon in his home at 1038 Twenty-seventh street following an illness of several months. He had been a resident of Sioux City the last 45 years. Mr. Keating was born in Bristol, Pa., June 14, 1859. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include: The widow, Mrs. Martha Keating; three sons, William, Vincent and Merritt Keating, all of Sioux City; two daughters, Margaret Keating of Sioux City and Mrs. R. G. Frost, of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Marting Keating, of San Francisco, and a sister, Mrs. Hannah Conway of Fort Lee, N. J. The body is at Larkin's funeral home. The family requests that no flowers be sent.


Nellie M. (Seaton) Esterline, a divorcee, Died August 3, 1934, in Traverse City, Grand Traverse Co., MI, at age 31.

Henry E. Brandeberry died February 11, 1938, in Mt. Pleasant, Isabella Co., MI, at age 54.

Martha M. Rice was born August 11, 1902, in Brookings Co., SD. She is the daughter of Andrew Oscar Rice of Norway and  Geron "Jennie" Stein of Norway.

Jerry Clarence Keating (age 46) of Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA, and Martha M. Rice (age 32) of Watertown, Codington Co., SD, were married November 10, 1935, in Sioux Falls, Minnehaha Co., SD.

Census dated April 25, 1940, shows Elizabeth Brandeberry (age 61) born in New York, and 5 years ago was living in the Same House, and with 5 years of School, is a widowed Head of Household, and who owns her home worth $1,000 and is living at 210 S. Elizabeth, 2nd Ward., City of Mt. Pleasant, Union Twp., Isabella Co., MI.

The 1940 U. S. Census dated April 10, 1940, shows Jerry C. Keating (age 50) born in Kansas, and 5 years ago was living in Wilmer, Kandiyohi Co., MN, and with 1 year of High School, is a married Steam Railroad Conductor who owns his home worth $2,500 and is living at 1124 Hill Avenue, Sioux City Twp., Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA. Living with him are: Martha Keating (age 37) born in South Dakota, and 5 years ago was living in Wilmer, Kandiyohi Co., MN, and with 4 years of High School; his daughter, Alice Keating (age 3) born in Minnesota; and his son, Jerry C. Keating (age 1) born in South Dakota.

Jerry Clarence Keating was born April 30, 1938, in South Dakota, and died January 18, 1995, in North Sioux City, Union Co., SD, at age 56.

Alice Maude Keating was born in Wilmer, MN, and died Sunday, May 13, 2007, at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville, IA, at age Unknown. Married to William D. Weisenburger Sr.

Alice Maude Weisenburger, 72, of Fairfax and Fluvanna County, died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at the University of Virginia Medical Center, Charlottesville. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17 at St. Jude Roman Catholic Church, 1937 Davis Highway, Mineral. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William D. Weisenburger Sr.; two sons, William David Weisenburger Jr. and his wife, Teresa Ann, and Randall John Weisenburger and his wife, Catherine Diane; four grandchildren, Breanne Halsey, William David Weisenburger III, Nicole Elle Weisenburger and Randall John Weisenburger II; her sister-in-law, Jeanie Keating; her nieces, Teri Elke, Kim Keating and Holly Tritz; a nephew, Burl Keating; and a number of friends. Mrs. Weisenburger was born in Wilmer, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Jerry and Martha Keating. She was also preceded in death by her younger brother, Jerry Clarence Keating. She was raised in Sioux City, Iowa were she met her husband. She had several successful careers as a secretary, real estate agent, broker and most recently an officer in DECOTEC Inc. Woodward Funeral Home, Louisa, is handling the arrangements.

Mrs. Emma Messenger Mrs. Emma Messenger was born Oct. 31, 1868, in Leonard, Mich. She was a member of the Methodist church at Leonard. She was married in 1892 to Roswell Seaton at Oxford, Mich. They came west in 1908 and settled on a ranch near Ralston. They later moved to Lamont, and resided there until the death of Mr. Seaton Feb. 20, 1931. She has since made her home with her daughter where she died Feb. 5, 1935. She leaves to mourn her passing a daughter, Mrs. S. L. Starkey of St. John, Wash.; a son, Wilson Seaton, St. Maries, Idaho; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Estella Foley, Miles City, Mont.; nine grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Snyder, Ritzville, and Mrs. Geo. Eastman, Los Angeles, Calif. Funeral services were held at the local M. E. church, Thursday, Feb. 7, with Rev. Gordon of Washtucna, officiating.
