I just don’t know who these people are.

Some thoughts: These are the only reference I can find for the locations of the two lower pictures:

Daniel and Elizabeth (Fancher) Altenburg’s daughter Mary Ann Altenburg (1821-1887) m. Henry Crippen. Their daughter Agnes Alice Crippen (1844-1888) m. Byron Raymond (1845-1910). They are living in Wayne, Erie, PA in 1870 and Corry, Erie, PA in 1880. This is the location of the picture of the woman with the ribbon hat, bottom rt. I wonder if this could be Mary Ann Altenburg? She would have been 54 yrs in 1875. Mary’s son George Crippen is living in Corry on the 1900 census and appears to remain there until his death in 1918.

Daniel and Elizabeth (Fancher) Altenburg’s daughter Margaret M Altenburg (1823-1904) m. George Adam Dockstader Fox (1824-1882). George dies in Corry in 1882, but he is living in Randolph, Cattaraugus, NY on census records from 1855-1880. George and Margaret’s son, William Sidney Fox (1850-1927) marries in 1877, most likely NY, and is in Corry on the 1880 census. He appears to remain in Corry through the 1910 Census, but dies in the hospital in Meadville, Crawford, PA. He was a telegraph operator for the Erie R.R.

Now I was thinking the lady with the ribbon hat could be Elizabeth Fancher. In 1875 she would have been 82. Could that lady be that old? The dress seems very similar to the one she has on in the other picture. Guess we need some face aging and recognition software because I’m not good a comparing people in pictures.

Now one thing you might consider is the woman with the white hair could be Sally Hutchins. Upon closer look at Sally, she has the same nose and face shape and light-colored eyes. In the earlier picture of Sally Hall, her hair is graying with some white strands and in the later picture her hair is completely white. Sally didn't die until 1880, so this could be her.

She is also wearing a similar hat or the same hat except for the ribbon color. It could be the ribbon wore out (not that unusual based on my sewing days) and it was replaced with a new ribbon.

Take a look at your original pictures and compare.

Also, the younger man in the set of photos cannot be Ephriam Altenburg, but could it be Sarah's brother George Altenburg or a brother George Foster Hall?

I have no idea who these people are but I would check your next generation for family members who lived until the 1870's. The one woman with the white hair is very pretty, so my 1st thought was she is an Altenburg?  The other one looks like she and the man have some money so are they a couple? He has a nice suit and she appears to not be too shabby either. Are they Hall's?

They are saying the pictures were taken in the 1870's after daguerreotype photos.  The women are wearing 1860's clothes, which they said was often the case with older women. They weren't into fashionable clothes like the younger women.

The picture of Elizabeth Fancher was taken in 1870’s though true she was alive.

I really think it’s Mrs. Sally Hall as your other picture was taken in 1863 and this picture on page 3 was taken in the 1870’s. It could even be the mid to late 1870’s.

If it were the late 1870’s, that would be close to the time Sally might have died. Sally would have been in her 70-80’s in the time frame.
