Buried in Oakland Cemetery, Woodstock, McHenry Co., IL. He is the son of Elkanah Pierce of Middleborough (Lakeville), MA, and Betsey Howland of Middleborough (Lakeville), MA. He suffered a severe stroke of paralysis about March 28, 1891, in Woodstock.

He immigrated at the Port of New York on March 12, 1888, with a destination of Detroit. He was of Cass C., MI, when he married Laura. He was Naturalized October 16, 1896, in Hammond, IN. Thomas Main Longmuir Jr.: Born January 14,1902, in Saint Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO; Died January 29, 1912, in Saint Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO. Southworth and Sarah L. Miller. Myron then married October 17, 1893, in St. Mary's Church, San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX, to Elizabeth Johanna "Lizzie" Kush: Born August 25, 1869, in San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX; Died August 20, 1922, in San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX (age 52). Buried in Saint Michaels Polish Catholic Cemetery, San Antonio, Bexar Co., TX.  Mary Mair Stewart, age 73, from Scotland visited her brother Thomas Longmuir in 1935.

John S. Pierce, section 35, Hartland Township, was born in Broome County, N. Y., July 18, 1818, a son of Elkanah, grandson of James, and great-grandson of James Pierce, a native of "Wales, and one of the early settlers of Middlebury, Mass. In 1837 he came West, and lived for a time in Calhoun County, Mich. The same fall he came to Illinois and located in Du Page County, but the next spring, 1838, moved to McHenry County, and entered 160 acres in Hartland Township. He also entered eighty acres in the name of John Bracken, of whom he borrowed money at twenty-five per cent., compound interest. As soon as he was able he sent for his parents, and they made their home with him the rest of their lives. Mr. Pierce was married in 1856 to Lucinda A. Pierce, who died in 1858. In 1860 he married Lucretia A., daughter of John Harrington. He has five children - Alta, Laura A., Eva, Minnie and Grace. Politically Mr. Pierce is a Democrat. He has been a member of the Masonic fraternity thirty years.
