Levi Abbey was born May 24, 1858, in Clarke Twp., Durham Co., Ontario, Canada, and died July 21, 1952, at 1406 Albert Road, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, at age 94. Inurned in Ocean View Crematorium, Burnaby, New Westminster Land District, British Columbia, Canada. He is the son of Oliver Nathaniel Abbey of Hope Twp., Durham Co., Upper Canada, and Elizabeth Jones of Clarke Twp., Durham Co., Upper Canada.

Mary Emily Bertha Ford was born April 19, 1868, in Ontario, Canada, and died January 7, 1936, at Vancouver General Hospital, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, at age 67. She is the daughter of John Ford, and Catherine Myers.

Levi Abbey and Mary Emily Bertha Ford were married June 24, 1891, in N. Cypress, Manitoba, Canada.

Levi Abbey and Mary Emily Bertha (Ford) Abbey had no children.

Henry Abbey died February 22, 1908, in Carberry, Manitoba, Canada, at age 53.

VANCOUVER MAN'S BROTHER IS DEAD

Carberry, Man., Feb. 22. - (Special.) - Henry Abbey, a well known pioneer of this town, having lived here twenty years, was found dead in bed this morning. A brother, Levi Abbey, resides in Vancouver, and a sister, Mrs. James Wright, in Boissevain, Man.

Carberry, Feb. 22. Henry Abbey, a well-known pioneer of this town, having lived here twenty years, was found dead in bed this morning, the cause being heart disease. His brother, Levi Abbey, lives in Vancouver, and a sister, Mrs. James Wright, lives in Boissevain Man. He located here when Carberry was merely a name on the map, and did much toward building up the town.

MRS. M. E. ABBEY DEAD

Mrs. Mary E. Abbey, 66, wife of Levi Abbey, of 2334 Trinity Street, resident of Vancouver 36 years, died Tuesday in the General Hospital. She was born in Ontario. Surviving are her husband, two brothers, J. J. Ford and C. B. Ford of Vancouver;  two sisters, Mrs. R. McCullough, Burnaby; Mrs. I. H. Fee, in Ontario. Funeral services will be conducted in the T. Edwards Co. chapel, Twelfth Avenue and Granville Street, Friday at 1:30 p.m., Rev. J. J. Nixon officiating.

ABBEY - PASSED AWAY ON JANUARY 7, 1936, at the Vancouver General Hospital, Mary E. B., beloved wife of Mr. Levi Abbey, of 2334 Trinity St., age 66 years. Survived by her husband; 2 brothers, J. J. Ford and C. B. Ford of Vancouver, also 2 sisters, Mrs. R. McCullough of Burnaby, and Mrs. L. H. Fee of Omemee, Ontario. Funeral on Friday, January 10, at 1:30 p.m., from the T. Edwards Co.'s Memorial Chapel, 10th and Granville St., Rev. J. J. Nixon officiating. No flowers by request.


Levi Abbey died July 21, 1952, at 1406 Albert Road, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, at age 94. Inurned in Ocean View Crematorium, Burnaby, New Westminster Land District, British Columbia, Canada.
