She is the daughter of Clarence Cornelius Nelson of Rockford, Winnebago Co., IL, and Edith Christina Larson of the Town of Farmington, Waupaca Co., WI. Never married.

LAUREL VICTORIA NELSON, Dec. 9, 1911 - Jan. 3, 2010
Laurel was born in Dixon, So. Dakota. The past few years she lived at the Clatsop Care Center in Astoria, Oregon, until her death. She was the sixth out of nine children born to Clarence and Edith Nelson. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Nelson, Walter Nelson, Norman Nelson; and four sisters, Myrtle Granberg, Hazel Farring, Violet Peterson, and Fern Peterson. She is survived by one sister, Olive Dirks, of Ferndale, WA. Laurel lived 40 years as a Minister of the Gospel in So. Dakota and Wisconsin. Funeral will be held on Jan. 14th at 11 a.m. at the Clark County Square Dance Center, 10713 NE 117th Ave., Vancouver, WA. A Reception will be held after the service, finger food only.
