Woman Injured as Car Crashes Bank
Mrs. H. B. Scheibel, 3719 Hamilton street, suffered cuts on the chin and chest Sunday afternoon when she was thrown partly through the windshield of the car her husband was driving hen it was forced off the highway at Seventy-sixth and Maple streets. She is at the county hospital. Elmer Gillaspey, Eighty-seventh and Grant streets, cut his right wrist while aiding in extricating Mrs. Scheibel from the car, which struck a clay bank and was thrown on its side.

Charles F. Fischer/Fuller attended the funeral of his sister, Karolina "Lina" (Fischer) Scheibel, in Omaha, Douglas Co., NE. Upon arrival he discovered that the diamond ring his sister had promised him was not among the assets of her estate. He quickly discovered that Lina had gifted her entire estate to the Catholic church, and the church priest was wearing the diamond ring. Charles was so disgusted when he found out that he immediately returned home to Independence, IA.
