He is the son of Håkan Pettersson of Sweden, and Kristina Maria Larsdotter of Fröbbestorp, Torsas, Kalmar lan, Småland, Sweden.

Marina Ebbonett "Mary" Svenson was born January 24, 1898, in Spitzberg, Sweden, and died September 30, 1991, in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN, at age 93. Buried in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN. She is the daughter of Unknown Svenson of Sweden.

Axel Jansson was born November 10, 1900, in Bogen Parish, Varmland, Sweden, and died February 10, 1988, in Buffalo, Wright Co., MN, at age 87. Buried in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN. He is the son of Jan Jansson of Overbyn, Vitsand, Varmland, Sweden, and Karen Johannesdatter Linna of Vinger, Hedmark, Norway.

Axel Johnson and Mary Ebbonett (Swanson) Hawkinson were married May 17, 1947, in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN. Axel was a good friend of Joe's, and Robert and Gertrude stood up for them at Axel and Mary's wedding.

Axel Johnson and Mary Ebbonett (Swanson) (Hawkinson) Johnson had no children.
