He is the son of Francis Abbey of Clarke Twp., Newcastle Dist., Durham Co., Canada West, and Mary Jane Murphy of Jerseyville, Jersey Co., IL.

Ethel Marie Tullis was born October 31, 1906, in Hebron, Thayer Co., NE, and died December 2, 1997, in Thornton, Adams Co., CO, at age 91. Buried in Riverside Cemetery, Hershey, Lincoln Co., NE. She is the daughter of McClellan "Mac" Tullis of Indiana, and Bertha Mae Tanner, foster daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Garrison of Nebraska.

  2. Verona Maxine Abbey: Born March 21, 1938, in Glendo, Platte Co., WY; Died December 6, 2020, in Lakewood, Jefferson Co., CO (age 82). Married January 10, 1956, in Thermopolis, Hot Springs Co., WY, to Richard Dee Sealock: Born November 28, 1934, in Mitchell, Davidson Co., SD; Died May 20, 2018, in Brighton, Adams Co., CO (age 83). Divorced.
  3. Donna Lee Abbey: Born June 3, 1942, in Glendo, Platte Co., WY; Died June 11, 1948, in Glendo, Platte Co., WY (age 6). Buried in Block 5, Horseshoe Cemetery, Glendo, Platte Co., WY.

Arthur Law received word Friday that Mr. and Mrs. Abbey of Glendo, Wyo., had lost their little six-year-old daughter. Mrs. Abbey will be remembered as Marie Tullis. They did not state the cause of her death.

Double Wedding Rites Conducted in Thermop

THERMOPOLIS, Wyo. - The Community Church was the setting for a double wedding at which the Abbey sisters, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Abbey of Thermopolis, were married. Dorothy Marie Abbey became the bride of Frank A. Hardee, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Hardee of Thermopolis. Her matron of honor was Mrs. Herman Schweighart of Worland and the best man was E. W. Bent Jr. of Thermopolis. Verona Marie Abbey became the bride of Richard Dee Sealock of Worland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Cummings of Casper. Matron of honor was Mrs. Robert Devine and the best man was Robert Devine of Worland. The brides were given in marriage by their father and the Rev. James l. Barber, pastor of Community Church, officiated at the double wedding. Traditional wedding marches were played by Mrs. Max Mortinore. Mr. and Mrs. Hardee will live in Thermopolis and Mr. and Mrs. Sealock in Worland.

Mrs. Bessie Babcock of 805 Elda St., died in a local hospital on Tuesday at the age of 81. She was a former resident of Fairbury. Surviving are her husband, Oliver, and a brother, John Abbey, North Platte. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Nuckolls-Meyer Chapel in Fairbury with Rev. James Balfour presiding. Burial will be at the Fairbury Cemetery. Nuckolls-Meyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Obituary - Bessie Babcock

Mrs. O. L. Babcock of Beatrice, Neb., died in a hospital there Oct. 19, 1971 at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 28 days. Bessie Mae Abbey, one of the five children of Francis Abbey and Mary Murphy Abbey, was born Aug. 21, 1890 at Edgar, Neb. Bessie lived most of her life in Fairbury, where she was alteration lady for Livingston & Gates men's clothing store for 25 years. In 1934 she was married to Oliver Lawrence Babcock. Most recently the couple made their home in Wymore and Beatrice. She was preceded  in death by her sister and two brothers. Surviving are her husband, Lawrence of Beatrice; brother, John Abbey of North Platte; brother-in-law, Delbert Babcock, two sisters-in-law, Merle Abbey and Helen Abbey, and two nieces. Funeral services were Oct. 22 in the Nickolls-Meyer chapel with Rev. James Balfour officiating. Mrs. Frank Hall was organist. Pallbearers were Alfred Boerner, Alvin Junker, John Smalldon, Joe Cropper, George Scoggin and Louis Likens. Interment was in the Fairbury cemetery.

CODY, Wyo. - Dorothy M. Hardee was a member of the Baptist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Mrs. Hardee, 49, died Monday night in Denver, Colo., of cancer. She was born in Glendo, a daughter of John and Marie Abbey. She married Donald A. Hardee on Jan. 10, 1956, in Thermopolis; he died in 1980. Survivors include a son, Donald of Carlsbad, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Debbra Nidiffer of Riverton and Dores Christian of West Palm Beach, Fla.; her mother and a sister, Mrs. Maxine Sealock, both of Denver; and seven grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Ballard Funeral Home with burial in Riverside Cemetery.

CODY - Services for Dorothy Marie Hardee, 49, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Ballard Funeral Home in Cody. Mrs. Hardee died April 21 in a Denver hospital following a long illness. She was born Feb. 5, 1937. She has been employed by the Energy Basin Clinic in Hanna for several years as a licensed practical nurse. He husband, Donald, preceded her in death in 1980. Survivors include one son, Donald of California; two daughters, Debbie Nidiffer of Riverton, and Doris Christian of Florida; her mother, Marie Abbey of Colorado; a sister, Maxine Sealock of Denver; and seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Dorothy M. Hardee Memorial Fund, 1761 W. 82nd Place, Denver, Colo. 80221, would be appreciated.

Alta Tullis Morrison

Alta Amelia Tullis Morrison, 81, of Salem, died Saturday. Born in Hebron, Neb., she came to Salem in 1956. She was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Pioneer Post 149 of the American Legion. She is survived by a daughter, Glenda G. Morrison, Monmouth; sisters, Virginia McCormick, Salem, Marie Abbey, Denver, Colo., and Mildred Tullis, North Platt, Neb.; and brothers, Carl Tullis, North Platt, Neb., and Donald Tullis, Pittsburgh, Pa. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Virgil T. Golden mortuary. Interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery, Portland. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Richard (Rick) John Sealock, age 57 of Denver, CO passed away on September 26, 2017 in Denver, Colorado. He was born Nov 1, 1959 in Casper, Wyoming. He attended Poison Spider School and Mills School, before moving to Tioga, North Dakota. He loved to fish, and he loved to go camping. He is survived by his Mother V. Maxine Sealock of Denver, CO, father Richard Sealock of Brighton, CO, step siblings, Cynthia, Damon, Shawn, and Amber, two children, RJ of Denver and Kevin of Colorado Springs. Richard D. Sealock 83, of Brighton Colorado peacefully passed on May 20th 2018. He was loved and will be missed greatly by his family and many friends made during travels and his career flying for Amoco. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 22 years, Peggy Sealock (Williams). His two sons Terry and Rich, his lovely momma Veryl and his faithful canine buddy Susie Snowflake. He is survived by his family of many generations including 9 great grandkids and a host of friends. We are assured he is resting easy in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior.
