Esther L. Smith, 77, 726 Park road, Round Lake, died at the home of her son, Paul Smith, Johnsburg, March 20. Mrs. Smith was born in Lind Center, Wi, June 12, 1898, the daughter of August and Louisa (Anderson) Norlin. She had lived in McHenry most of her life. Survivors include four sons, Lon of McHenry, Wayne of Sunnyside, Paul of Johnsburg and Leo of Glen Ellyn; twenty-one grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Roche, Neshkoro, Wi.; and a brother, Clarence Norlin, Wild Rose, Wi. Visitation was held Monday afternoon at the Peter M. Justen and Son funeral home, with services held in the Holly funeral home, Wild Rose, Wi., Tuesday afternoon. A memorial service will be conducted at the Alliance church, 3815 Bull Valley road, McHenry, Sunday, March 28, at 2:30 p.m. Burial was in Union cemetery, Saxeville.
