Donal Alton Van Vorst was born October 21, 1925, in Duluth, St. Louis Co., MN. He is the son of Alton Percival "Percy" Van Vorst of Hawick, Roseville Twp., Kandiyohi Co., MN and Ruth Henrietta Bailey of Duluth, St. Louis Co., MN.

Joan Marie Stejskal was born May 2, 1928, at 1132 N. 14th St, City of Fargo, Cass Co., ND and died April 18, 2003, in the City of Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO at age 74. She is the daughter of Joseph Valentine Stejskal of Nebraska? and Marie Therese Pfeffer of Austria-Hungary St Peter/St Johann.

Donal Alton Van Vorst and Joan Marie Stejskal were married January 29, 1946.
