In the 1881 Census, I found Charles Hooper in Toronto along with his father Henry and his mother. I checked the 1871 census and found them again. This time it was clear that his mother's name is Ann. Also there are two sisters living with them at the time.

It appears that George H B Hooper was married several times, including Sarah Fanny Austin and Martha Clara Abbey.
