January 22, 2019 Good Evening, Sorry to bother you, but I had read your article on Leighlarson.com and it was very interesting and thank you for sharing. I was very interested if you had learned more regarding John and Mary Deyell's family? Your article had said the David Stinson family lived next door to Robert. I believe that Catherine Deyell was David's first wife. I come from his second wife's line, Martha Morton, but he had four children (William James, David A., John Henry and Eliza) with Catherine. This family is shown in the 1861 census with Roberts family right after it. In that census they had his name as Stincen. Your article was the first evidence I had seen about Catherine other than listed as mother on those four death indexes. The living next to Robert makes sense living by a family member. All I have been able to find is that Catherine was born around 1826, dates of their kids baptisms and their marriage date of 1855. This was found on Ontariogeneaology.com. I was told she died around 1867. David married Martha in 1870. In the 1871 census its just David and Martha, so not sure where the kids went. Ages would have ranged from 11-21 years old. Anyways, if you have learned anything more I would sure appreciate hearing about it, if not, hopefully this provided you with some information regarding Catherine.
