He is the son of Josef Algot "Joseph" Svahn of Båraryd, Jönköping, Smaland, Sweden, and Anna Kornelia Kullenburg of Sännarslöf, Kristianstad län, Sweden, and the adopted son of Arthur David Larson of the Town of Farmington, Waupaca Co., WI, and Norma Victoria (Nelson) Larson of Rockford, Winnebago Co., IL.
Ruth Elizabeth Kendig was born October 13, 1915, in White Elk Twp., Aitkin Co., MN, and died July 31, 1985, at Saint Paul - Ramsey Medical Center, Saint Paul, Ramsey Co., MN, at age 69. Buried in Oakland Cemetery, Saint Paul, Ramsey Co., MN. She is the daughter of Ernest Arthur Kendig (Born March 10, 1892, in Cedar Rapids, IA; Died November 5, 1918, in Aitkin, Aitkin Co., MN, at age 26) of Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA, and Rosabella "Rose" Squires (born January 31, 1896) of Minnesota, who were married September 17, 1913, in Pine City, Pine Co., MN. Elwin E. Olds was born March 17, 1893, in Spring Valley, MN, and died July 28, 1941, in MN. He married Mrs. Rose Kendig on October 4, 1920, in Cass Co., MN.

Miss Anna Kullenburg, of this city, and Mr. Algot Swahn, of Mishawaka, were quietly married Saturday evening at 8 o'clock in the home of the bride's cousin, Mr. Wicktor Edstrom, 812 West Jefferson street, Rev. N. Forsberg performing the ceremony in the presence of several relatives. The bride is an attractive young lady and the groom is a young man employed in the rubber department of the Mishawaka Woolen Manufacturing company. Mr. and Mrs. Swahn went Sunday to Joliet and Chicago, and will reside at 812 West Jefferson street, this city.

DIES AT EARLY AGE.
Anna C. Svahn Passes to Her Reward After Year's Illness.
Anna C. Svahn died this morning at 3:25 at the family residence, 424 West Grove street, after a year's illness with tuberculosis, aged 30 years. The deceased was a native of Sweden, born in that country Nov. 8, 1880. Ten years ago she was married to Joseph S. Svahn and a year later came to this country and then to Mishawaka. The deceased has lived in this city nine years. She was a member of the Swedish Lutheran church, and was popular among her friends, both in this city and in South Bend. Mrs. Svahn was formerly Miss Anna Liedman. She is survived by her husband, Joseph, and five children, Edna, Margaret, Russell, Edith and Carl. Funeral arrangements have not as yet been made, but will be announced to-morrow.

JOSEPH A. SVAHN DIES AFTER FOUR MONTHS FIGHT.
Combats With Malady to the End - Was in Prime of Life - a Native of Sweden
Joseph Algot Svahn passed away at 4:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon combating for four months with typhoid fever, at the age of 38 years, being in the prime of life. Mr. Svahn was a native of Sweden and emigrated to this country while a youth, settling first in Connecticut and coming to Mishawaka about 13 years ago. In that time he has been employed as shoemaker by the Mishawaka Woolen Manufacturing company. He was married Sept. 1, 1900, to Miss Anna Kullenburg, of South Bend, who died just one year ago, leaving five children. The children surviving Mr. Svahn are Edna, aged 10, living in New Carlisle; Margaret, aged nine; Russel, aged seven; Edith, aged five; and Carl, aged three years old, staying at the Swedish Orphan's home in Joliet, Ill. Mr. Svahn is also survived by his parents in Sweden, a brother, Fritz Svahn and a sister in Salt Lake City, Utah; and a sister, Mrs. Oleson of Connecticut. Belonging to the Off Fellows order, that lodge will have charge of the funeral.

SIGEL COUPLE ARE UNITED IN MARRIAGE
Gust Anderson and Anna Johnson, both of the town of Sigel, were united in marriage Tuesday evening, April 10th, at five o'clock at the home of the bridegroom. Rev. F. G. Oleson, pastor of the Lutheran church of this city, performed the marriage service. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Lee Anderson at matron and groomsman. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to fifty guests. The house and tables were decorated with spring flowers. The newlyweds will reside on Mr. Anderson's farm near Sigel. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Larson of Sheridan, Wis., were out of town guests.

Waupaca, Wis. - (Special) - Mrs. Arthur D. Larson, 53, died Monday at Community hospital following an illness of about three weeks. She lived on a farm about six miles west of Waupaca. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home and at 2 o'clock at Immanuel Lutheran church in this city, Rev. F. A. Reier officiating. Burial will be in the Farmington Swedish cemetery.

Caroline Schnacky was born February 16, 1891, in Barron Co., WI, and died March 2, 1983, in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN, at age 92. She is the daughter of Lewis D. Schnacky of New York, and Anna Ruetz of Canada.
Caroline's first marriage was to Stanley C. Wetherbee of North Dakota around 1911. This marriage ended in divorce. Her second husband was Vianney Levi Vedner, with the marriage taking place on August 2, 1934. V. L. Vedner died on June 16, 1936. He bumped a door in the dark and died of the injury.
Arthur was granted a divorce from Caroline on June 24, 1940, in Waupaca Co., WI, on the grounds of cruel and inhuman treatment.

STATION AGENT DIES AT HOME IN WAUPACA
Waupaca, Wis. - Vienny L. Vedner, agent here for the Green Bay & Western railroad for 25 years, died at 4:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. He ran into a door last week and sustained a cut on his forehead. The wound was closed by several stitches, but erisipelas developed, causing his death. Mr. Vedner was born at Bear Creek, Wis., Feb. 6, 1885. He had been active in civic affairs and at the time of his death was chairman of the relief committee. He was beginning his ninth year on the city council. He was a trustee of Immanuel Lutheran church and was president-elect of the local Lions club, and would have been installed as president on July 1. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Caroline Vedner; a son, Dr. Harold J. Vedner, Coon Valley; his granddaughter; his mother, Mrs. Delia Vedner, Bear Creek; and four brothers and two sisters. Funeral services are to be held in private at the home Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock and at Immanuel Lutheran church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. F. A. Rier will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery.

Arthur D. Larson, Red Cross Leader, Dies at Waupaca
WAUPACA - Arthur D. Larson, 86, Bethany Home resident, died early this morning at Riverside hospital following a short illness. He had been active in the Waupaca County Red Cross for more than 50 years and during the past year he was cited for many years of 4-H work in Waupaca County. He was retired farmer, real estate broker and rural mail carrier in the Sheridan area. Larson is survived by one son, one daughter. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Bammel Funeral Home. He has been a resident of Bethany since 1963.
