I am looking for Lois Wolcott, born 11/17/1829 in Brandon, VT. She married
John Page, who was born in England, and they ended up in Fond du Lac Co, WI.
They had 2 children, Clara Jane, born 1867 in Wisconsin, and Charles. We know
nothing about Charles, but Clara was my great-grandmother. John died in 1877 and
Lois died either sometime before or shortly after, because the children were
raised by another family.
I think Lois was probably the dau. of Charles Wolcott, b. 1798, and his wife
Clara Smith. They lived at Pittsford VT in 1830 and at Brandon VT in 1850, and
they are said to have moved to Wisconsin. They had 2 sons, Marcus b. 1826 b.
Lamartine VT 1826, who m. Sarah Brown 1870 at Fon du Lac WI, and Lewis b. 1831.
There was at least one daughter whose name is unknown, probably Lois. Do you
know who raised her children?
Thanks! I am excited to find some information about the family. I will do
some searches using those names.
The children were raised by Joseph and Helen Harrington Klock in the Fond du Lac
area. When I was a child we lived in my grandparent's house and I remember they
had portraits of both the Pages and the Klocks. When my grandparents died, my
Dad and his siblings sold the frames - portraits and all. They said nobody knew
which couple was which, so there was no point in keeping them. I was mad then
and now wish even more that we still had them.
