Minerva, wife of Howard Wogan, died at her home in Duncansville on Tuesday night, of internal tumor, aged 23 years. The deceased is survived by her husband and one son. Te funeral services will be heard in the Methodist church at Duncansville to-day at 12 o'clock noon. The remains will be taken overland to Roaring Spring for interment.

MILLARD F. BLAKE, A prominent resident of Blair county and a brother of John W. Blake of this city, died at his home in Martinsburg at 6:15 o'clock Tuesday evening. His death primarily resulted from a sunstroke he received several years ago, which terminated in nervous prostration. Mr. Blake was a mechanic of reputation and of an inventive turn of mind, having been the patentee of improvements in dumping cars, truss rods, etc, and the inventor of the car, the patent of which is in litigation in our courts with the Pennsylvania railroad company. He was born on January 15, 1856, being a son of James (deceased) and Margaret Ellen Blake. His entire life was spent in Martinsburg and he died in the house in which he was born. He is survived by his wife and the following sons and daughter: Roland, who is a soldier in the United States army, now serving in the Philippines; Walter, in the government service, and at present located at Denver, Col.; Colonel James, at home, and Edith and Myra, both of whom are married. He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: John W. of Altoona, Rev. William P. Blake of Indian Territory, U. S. Grant Blake of Emporia, Kan., James of Montana, Mrs. Dr. McCready and Mrs. Alice Wegan of Duncansville, Mary and Burdine Blake of Martinsburg. Funeral services were conducted at the late residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. E. H. Smith.

Mrs. Addie Alice Wogan of 1045 Second avenue died at the home yesterday afternoon at 12:45 o'clock. Born in Martinsburg October 7, 1868, she was the daughter of James and Margaret (Brown) Blake. Members of the family include her husband, Howard Wogan, five daughters, Mrs. John Schuh and Mrs. Grace Burkhimer, both of Altoona, Margaret Wogan of Norfolk, Va., Mary and Dorothy, both at home, one son, Harry Wogan of this city, eight grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Mary Ridenour of Martinsburg, and two brothers, Grant Blake of Burton, Kansas, and Rev. Packer Blake of Hyattville, Md. Mrs. Wogan was a member of the Martinsburg Church of God. The body may be viewed at the home after noon today.

HOWARD WOGAN
Howard Wogan of 1045 Second avenue died yesterday morning at 2:25 o'clock. Born in Roaring Spring October 26, 1872. he was the son of David and Ann (Idinger) Wogan. His wife, Addie Alice Wogan, died January 28, 1938. Members of the family include one son, Harry Wogan of Altoona, and the following daughters: Dorothy, at home, Margaret of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Mae Carter of Norfolk, Va., Mrs. Grace Burkhimer and Mrs. John Schuh, both of Altoona; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Raymond of Altoona and Harry of Niles, Ohio, also survive. Mr. Wogan was of the Reformed faith and a member of the Macobees. Friends are being received at the home after 2 o'clock this afternoon.

Of 1045 2nd Ave., veteran of service in the Women's army Corps in World War II, died at 4 a.m. today, Sept. 3, 1970, in Altoona VA Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Duncansville Sept. 26, 1900, a daughter of Howard and Alice (Blake ) Wogan, and Dec. 2, 1939, married Charles A. Carter, who died Sept. 17, 1954. Surviving are two sisters and a brother, Mrs. Margaret Crozier, Mrs. Dorothy Tucker and Harry B., and two half-sisters, Mrs. Violet Schuh and Mrs. Grace Heckman, all of Altoona. Friends will be received in the Stevens Mortuary from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
